Sex Educator

The Masakhane Center is seeking passionate, motivated young people to join our education team! Sex Educators work in the Newark, NJ community providing much needed sex positive education to the community. Sex Educators receive extensive training on a variety of sexuality topics and workshop management techniques. There are two types of Sex Educator positions available: part-time intern and full-time intern. While both positions are unpaid, all educators are given real world, hands-on experience in the non-profit world and sex education field and at times, the responsibility to manage substantive projects. SCHEDULE All part time interns are required to work a minimum of 20 hours per week being available all day on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays and occasionally (once a month) on weekends. Full time interns are required to work a minimum of 30 hours per week being available Monday through Friday and occasionally (twice a month) on weekends. ALL INTERNS MUST WORK THE FOLLOWING DATES: FALL INTERNSHIP: September 3, 2013 to December 20, 2013 SCHOOL YEAR INTERNSHIP: September 3, 2013 to May 16, 2014 APPLICATIONS Applications for summer internships are due by Tuesday, August 20th.
