Vein9 is a new music promo team composed of college students from NY, CA, PA, FL, IL, AZ, and DC who are currently pursuing their creativity in music, film, art, and business. With the skill set we already have, we work together to promote some of the coolest unsigned rock bands that we recently acquainted with! Get the taste of an indie record label work here! Design: Creating show flyers, banners, shirts, and webprints for blogs/websites that appeal to the bands and their listeners. A&R: At the end of each week the members will be submitting a list of unsigned rock bands to the recruit managers for them to review. Genres include: indie, alternative, garage, punk, powerpop, soul, rockabilly, psychedelic, and grunge. Media: Putting together interview videos and other promo videos for the bands and artists. We will be doing a couple of music video draft practice to get the ball rolling for those interested in film and media Writing/Blog: staff members are encouraged to submit at least one post per week on any of the following TOPICS: -Album reviews -Show reviews -Interviews with the band -Getting to know college students in your area who are pursuing their creativity in film, art, music/dance, photography, acting etc. -Posting creative poster artwork / videos made by YOU. Yes, you may show off your work! -Charity projects that are going on in the city -Events on campus Publicity: contacting college radio stations and programming boards about the bands on our roster, updating the event sites, posting on Facebook, and getting in contact with a student media production team. Street team: utilizing the bands' street teams to promote the shows in their area. We're trying to set up a points system for the street teamers through Shimon where incentives can be provided to the top street team promoters. Web: Updating social network sites, blogs, and bands' webpages. This is a go to crew whenever we run into web problems such as html and account settings. Recruit: Searching and inviting college students (or college production team) to work with us. Theyre also responsible for answering questions and responding to the Vein9 applicants.
