The internship requires 5-6 hours per week for 10 weeks. Because actual days and hours worked are flexible, our internship is convenient, regardless of class and extra-curricular activity schedules. Responsibilities include a variety of online content generation and viral marketing activities through leading social networking sites, blogs, other industry portals and our Map sites. It is creative, and it is a rewarding opportunity to help an emerging company grow to a leadership position. Interns who complete the program will receive an Internship Certificate and a letter of referral for future business endeavors and portfolios. All majors are welcome to apply. Community Outreach Internship

The Registrar of Voters is responsible for conducting elections in the County of Orange. The Registrar of Voters staff includes 49 full time staff, numerous Elections Aides, and thousands of volunteers representing the broad spectrum of Orange Countys population. The office will be conducting numerous elections in 2010, including the Statewide Primary Election in June and the Statewide General Election in November. The office is responsible for all components of election management, including voter registration, poll worker and polling place recruitment, ballot creation, voting system security, ballot processing and vote tallying, community outreach and education, and candidate services such as candidate filing and campaign finance. In 2010 the Registrar of Voters Community Outreach Department will be increasing its presence in the community and expanding outreach and education efforts. To this end, the office is looking for interns to assist the department in accomplishing its goals and executing an extensive and ambitious outreach plan for 2010. The Orange County Registrar of Voters prides itself on being a leader in the elections community. Our small size allows us to continually innovate and create new and better ways to serve the public.
