ReminderMedia, publishers of American Lifestyle magazine, has developed a unique Business Development internship program where students can learn the ins and outs of a growing company while applying classroom theory to the corporate world. The program is comprised of many different majors as we cater every student's experience to fit his/her goals and interests; we've had Human Resource majors work directly with our recruiting department, Marketing majors learn directly from our sales managers, Professional Communications majors draft social media proposals, and MIS majors help us with database management! Some of the responsibilities interns have had include: -Monitoring our company's LinkedIn presence and recruiting efforts -Writing scripts for iMacros to collect in-house data for statistical analysis -Communicating with our corporate partners to build relationships -Developing and implementing social media marketing plans -Researching potential clients and companies for executive personnel Activities that all interns are responsible for include: -Gathering information from the web and inputting it into our internal system for statistical and print purposes -Cleaning and correcting data already existing in our system -Understanding the components of viable, lucrative leads and how to get them into the hands of our sales team -Generating reports and statistical analyses -Other duties include work-flow management, documentation prep, and expediting of product samples Our ideal candidates will possess all of the following qualities: -Independent and driven -Detail Oriented -Analytical -Quick to learn -Outgoing This is a paid internship during which students work a minimum of 12 hours per week. The internship is for the Fall 2013 Session and is scheduled to begin August 26h, 2013 and last through December 13th, 2013. Membership and Group Sales Internship

Department: Marketing Position Summary: Assist with various aspects of the Membership and Group Sales strategy, communication initiatives and database integrity, including: Learn and advocate the products and programs offered and marketed by The Franklin Institute to audiences classified as affinity families and groups. Assist in the deployment of written communications, including direct mail campaigns and email blasts. Report on progress of specific campaigns and prepare performance analytics. Uphold database integrity through data/record maintenance. Research new markets and specific targets for new clients. Proofread and, at times, draft letters, brochures, postcards and other collateral pieces. Prepare outbound sales representatives campaigns. Assist in event planning and execution. Place inquiry calls to potential clients and report status to Director of Membership and Group Sales and Membership and Group Sales Manager. Provide administrative assistance and clerical services as needed. Review web pages and recommend appropriate updates. Opportunity to accompany department staff at sales and industry best-practice meetings. Other duties as assigned. Education Requirements: Interested candidates must be currently enrolled in a college or university with a preferred focus area in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, or other related topic. Special Skills Required: Interested candidates must possess: Working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Proven experience or interest in sales. Demonstrated problem solving and decision making skills. Possess excellent analytical skills. Desire to learn about the practical applications in the marketing of non-profit, museum, and cultural attraction business. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Proven self-starter and ability to manage multiple priorities. Ability to stand for several hours at a time for department-related events. Occasional light lifting Schedule Requirements: Minimum of 2-3 full workdays per week, including weekend availability as requested.
