En Familia (In the Family), is a weekly, half hour television show that airs every Saturday at 9:30am, on Estrella TV (KGW Chanel 8). It is shot on location at WFTV, a public access television studio based in Oregon City, Oregon, as well as on numerous field locations. The show aims to provide resources and information for the ever-growing Latino population in the greater part of Portland, but is also aired in on public stations in Milwaukie, Oregon City, Lake Oswego and West Linn. We are also working closely with a few stations in New York and California that have shown interest in airing the program. It is a part of the Outreach Campaign and awareness of Domestic violence in the Latino Community for Los Niños Cuentan. The show consists of sit-down interviews with professionals, such as immigration lawyers, counselors, teachers, and even success stories of ordinary people. Each episode usually revolves around a certain topic (ex. domestic violence awareness month, immigration law, safety, success stories) and will always aim at providing the viewers with valuable information. Past episodes have also included activities, trips to facilities, coverage of events and even guest musicians. It is a show that is always evolving with each episode, and has high hopes of ongoing improvement with the second season.

The internship will enable an outstanding student to spend the summer studying the field, full-time, in a hands-on environment. The internship is in memory of Jon Tuttle, one of Oregon's most respected broadcast journalists who passed away in 1991.
