We are looking for motivated, enthusiastic students to participate in a summer internship for our Network Planning and Engineering Organization with a focus on engineering, managerial and financial aspects of the business. Individuals will gain invaluable knowledge on how to design, build, and operate wireless networks. Unlike other engineering internships, this person will get experience in several different aspects of our always changing business environment and will learn a broad prospective of the telecommunications business by interacting with senior management. It's a demanding role with high expectations
Required Qualifications:
Students pursuing a degree in Electrical, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering or Computer Science and are rising Juniors or Seniors or pursuing their Masters degree

Internship program for the Summer of 2013 is designed for students seeking a career within a specified field. This is an Internship opportunity for highly qualified college/university students who have the potential to become future leaders in AT&T and the business community. The program provides the Student Intern practical work experience to augment their education and career preparation. Customer Experience Analyst with ability to view, trend, and analyze customer experience data. Need ability to use Microsoft Access, PowerPoint; Excel; Word and MiniTab statistical software.

Required Qualifications:

The Summer Internship Program is a strategic program that enables participants to combine their coursework experience with the skills and real world experience needed to broaden their knowledge.

Through our student internships, you'll benefit from the combination of classroom theory and real world experience. You will receive on-the-job training where interns can work with project teams.

Our internships will give you hands-on experience and valuable knowledge that will last you a lifetime. You'll make valuable contacts and get the inside view of telecommunications from the industry leader.

Mentors are assigned to each intern, one for project and one for additional skills development.

This program is an 8-12 week program and curriculum may include one or many of the following subjects:

Preferred degrees include: Engineering, Math or Logistics

Duties will include basic engineering tasks such as designing jobs and interfacing with the the various databases required for job flow and ensure projects are constructed in accordance with company practices.

Required Qualifications:

• Working towards BS or BA degree in Computer Science, MIS or related technical field


• Good communication, self-motivation and teamwork skills are a must


• 3.2 GPA or above

Provides radio frequency (RF) and/or Radio Access Network (RAN) design. Designs, plans and oversees installation, maintenance and optimization of wireless radio access network communications systems, including radio propagation modeling and prediction, microwave path analysis, interference analysis, frequency coordination, cell site equipment layout, parameter definition and ancillary equipment. Analyzes RAN data to recommend optimal changes to RAN network to improve all the key indexes and performance indicators.

Nature of Contribution- Technical professional with limited experience. Primarily completes standard work.


Knowledge - Has basic working knowledge of technical principles and methods within own discipline / specialty area. Integrates basic principles of discipline with processes and procedures to complete own job. Grows current knowledge of AT&T technologies, systems.

Analysis and Problem Solving - Solves non-routine problems by applying limited judgment to select appropriate standard procedures. Articulates and refines identified issues within own area. Analyzes a variety of factors within applicable standards and procedures to develop solution. Reviews structured technical problems and independently selects appropriate methods.

AT&T Customer Center seeks highly motivated and qualified collage/university students who seek opportunity to become future leaders in AT&T. The Centralized Supplier Management (CSM) Member will be part of a 24x7x365 Management team, responsible to interface with access suppliers at the highest level of escalation in order to resolve customer troubles and access T3 troubles. Responsible to interface with both customers and suppliers in pursuit of restoration of service. Will support all maintenance work centers in this capacity. Expected to proactively manage work list, customers, and suppliers and to follow through to final resolution. In order to perform these functions, a multitude of tools, telephone and systems will be utilized in order to bring the issues to resolution. Establish and participate on customer or technical conference bridges for expeditious resolution of customer outages.

This AT&T Internship program provides an opportunity for highly qualified college/university students who have the potential to become future leaders in AT&T and the business community. The program provides the Technical Student Intern practical work experience to augment their education and career preparation. During the work experience, the Technical Student Intern will be exposed to the interpersonal relationships a job requires, both with co-workers and supervisors that are essential in obtaining a successful, satisfying career. The Intern may work between 16-20 hours per week. The work schedule will be determined based upon the Interns course schedule and the work needed performed.

Selected candidates will be expected to commit to at least a one-year part-time assignment. Positions will be located in Atlanta, GA. No visa sponsorship available.
