The Mather LifeWays Institute on Aging Research Intern will share in a variety of experiences in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs/studies relevant to older adults and their professional and family caregivers. This hands-on opportunity will allow the Intern to be involved with a variety of projects, interface with multiple departments and develop a number of career-relevant skills.
The Research Intern has the opportunity to
Gain experience in preparing research grant proposals
Gain experience promoting research studies in applied settings/recruiting participants for research studies; implementing study protocols/data collection including focus groups, interviews, surveys, and debriefings; managing databases; conducting analyses; writing reports/manuscripts; preparing material for presentations/webinars; preparing research study promotional material
Work with a variety of departments, that may include Human Resources, Information Technology, Marketing, Community Initiatives, and Senior Living
Establish a professional network
Develop/enhance professional resume
