Development Internship (Arts/Non-Profit)
Orlando Repertory Theatre —
Orlando, FL
Orlando Repertory Theatre (The REP) is seeking eager and enthusiastic individuals for a Development Internship with our Professional Internship Program.
An internship at The REP provides an opportunity to work and learn in a professional environment. Our interns are an extremely important asset in maintaining The REPs presence as a leader in the industry. The REP staff strives to create a comfortable atmosphere for growing and learning while you hone your professional skills and build your portfolio under our wing. Interns at The REP not only get a one-of-a-kind experience from a professional staff; they also have unique access to industry professionals from Disney, Universal, and other leading organizations through networking and career counseling workshops. Interns also benefit from complimentary tickets to REP productions during their stay. Housing is not provided at this time.
The fall Development Intern will gain valuable, real-world experience while working in a Development Department for a non-profit organization. Interns are essential in providing support to an annual mailed appeal (strategy, mailing, execution, gift record-keeping), grant and sponsorship management, post-sponsorship reporting packages, special fundraising events, and in the development of individual giving strategies (giving levels, marketing collateral). The Development Intern will also assist in the planning of a holiday-themed fundraising event to take place in early December (the intern can also opt to extend the internship to participate in the execution of the event). Applicants should be highly organized, proficient in the Microsoft Office, have strong business writing skills, and be comfortable with mail merge functionality. This internship is based on a 5-12 hour workweek and is unpaid. Fall internship dates are from the end of August through the end of November.
