The Salvation Army is an international church founded in London, England in 1865 by William Booth. Our mission is to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ and to meet human needs in His name without discrimination. Programs in the greater St. Louis region include: shelters for the homeless; transitional housing for low-income individuals; senior housing; food pantries and feeding programs; emergency disaster services; financial assistance for families who need help with rent, utilities, food and clothing; alcohol and drug rehabilitation services; activities for youth and seniors and the prison ministry.
The Salvation Army seeks a highly motivated, self-starting energetic student who is passionate about non-profit organization. Intern will directly support The Salvation Army staff and gain valuable skills while assisting with program development, corporate research and communications/public relations for The Salvation Army all across Missouri and Sothern Illinois. This unpaid internship can provide school credit, portfolio building experience, a flexible schedule and valuable experience in the workforce.
