Founded in 1997 the Suzuki Music School of Westport is a nonprofit community school with approximately 300 students offering instruction in violin, viola, cello, flute, guitar, voice and piano lessons as well as early childhood education, chamber ensembles and music theory to the southern Connecticut region. The school is run as a non-profit organization with a Board of Directors, Music Director and administrative staff. SMSW has 25 professional, dedicated teachers trained in the Suzuki Method and highly experienced as both teachers and performers. Each year the school supports faculty to pursue professional renewal through training courses in their instrument. We are located in an attractive and well-maintained facility and emphasize a friendly and pleasant working atmosphere with many diverse events throughout the year.
