* Gather requirements from departmental users needed to develop and maintain departmental SAS programs and reports
* Develop increased understanding of actuarial and product management analyses relevant to property and casualty actuarial methods as well as the GEICO product
* Develop advanced SAS programming awareness needed to implement actuarial mathematical and statistical models
* Gather analysis data from many internal and external data sources
* Recommend improvements to current systems, applications and processes
* Collaborate with team members to set business objectives and goals Candidate Qualifications Qualified candidates should have:

* Working knowledge of the SAS language
* Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mathematics, Computer Science or related discipline
* Possess superior quantitative, analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
* Overall and major GPA of at least 3.0
* Ability to work and live in the Washington, D.C. area over the course of the summer
