Information Technology Intern

The IT Intern - supports the IT department across various disciplines: LAN / WAN, Wireless, Security, Remedy Support, RydeSmart, Service Desk, PC Lab and as assigned. The duration of this internship is between two and three months and is temporary in nature.
Requirements
  • Must have completed at least four (4) semesters of college or university curriculum and be currently enrolled toward a degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, CIS, DIS, MIS or related field.

  • Additional Requirements
    - Strong customer focus and the ability to effectively communicate with management, co-workers and customers.
    - Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload efficiently and effectively.
    - Work well under pressure, successfully meet schedules, work independently while interacting with personnel from differing management levels and produce high quality work with minimal supervision.
    - Strong PC and Software product skills (Windows, MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel), analytical and problem solving skills.
    - Excellent verbal/written communication and interpersonal skills.
    -This position is temporary and may or may not lead to a full time position
    -Desired skills: Informatica and SQL writing. Prior work experience in a BI environment is a plus.
    Responsibilities
    - Some duties may include: working on project based assignments.
    - Will participate with teams of IT staff and, on a limited basis, client department personnel in the development, implementation and maintenance of computer-based information systems; to install, trouble shoot, maintain and modify computer and network system software; and to perform related duties as assigned.

    Position Summary: A Penske IT Intern will do related projects to support the department while creating valuable learning experience.
