Job Description:
Foth is a consulting engineering, science and construction services firm delivering technical solutions for public and private clients around the corner and around the globe.
We are currently seeking a self-directed, results-oriented Civil Engineering Intern for our Cedar Rapids, IA location.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Perform routine civil engineering support tasks, under the direction of an Engineer
- Perform construction observation for civil transportation and/or airport projects
- Assist with survey work
- Demonstrate behavior consistent with Foth Basic Principles and Values
- Work collaboratively and build effective relationships with others
- Communicate effectively across all levels within organization
- Maintain a positive attitude
- Travel to client sites or other Foth offices as needed (approximately 70%), valid driver's license required
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Junior status in civil/construction engineering program from an accredited institution
- GPA of 3.0 or greater
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience with civil, transportation, airport engineering projects
- Previous civil engineering co-op or intern experience
- Previous survey experience
