Assistant to the Producer

Little Pepper ProductionsNew Orleans, LA — Virtual
Hi! I am currently producing a documentary (my second documentary) about the Latino culture in New Orleans. Topics cover the local Latin American scene - in terms of music, food, art, and dance - along with historical background on various Latino cultures. The project, which will likely take a year to produce, includes taped interviews, along with the filming of events and specific locations, relevant to the topic (i.e. Hispanic grocery stores). You're assistance and insight would be greatly appreciated. I am looking for an intern who will accompany me (and my videographer) on photo shoots/interviews, transcribe interviews, shadow edit sessions in the production studio, and offer suggestions. Through this internship, you will discover the basics of producing a documentary - from conducting research and interviews, to editing and implementing the final touches. You will also learn about the various types of film equipment and production software. And, you will meet other professionals in the film and broadcast journalism industry, which will surely take you a step further in your career. I love this line of work and look forward to sharing it with a fellow aspiring filmmaker. About Me: I'm the sole proprietor of Little Pepper Productions, LLC. www.littlepepperproductions.com. Essentially, I am a freelance writer and film producer. My last film, 'Vietnamese Cuisine in New Orleans', debuted on WYES-TV (PBS) in October of 2012. It was filmed by Lenny Delbert and narrated by Peggy Scott Laborde. It was indeed a team effort!
