First Solar is looking for an intern to support U.S. solar PV government affairs activities.Responsibilities: Track and report on legislative and regulatory developments at state level in selected states; Track and assist with regulatory filings Draft position papers and white papers Update state-by-state one pagers on FSLR presence Participate in select trade associations. Research and develop state-specific policy positions with respect to matters of interest to FS, e.g., community solar, NEM, distributed generation Update Congressional staff and Administration distribution lists (email addresses) Update project development site list with current Congressional districts Do other policy and market development research tasks identified by the Government Affairs management team. Qualifications: Bachelor and Masters degree in public policy and/or business preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical capabilities, including strong MS Excel, Power Point and quantitative skills Solid understanding of electricity markets and solar energy. Organized self-starter capable of working with senior management and producing polished, work products Submit writing and/or Power Point work product sample and CV
