Front Office Technical Recruiter INTERN M-C Recruitment is a start-up company with a very innovative approach to the client and technical aspects of recruiting. We are not a heavy sales environment; instead we focus on rapid and high volume coverage of a talent pool. We then take the information that we gather and narrow the search down to several key candidates, not different to any other recruitment process except that we have to prove to the client that we truly covered the market. The clients love the system because it's highly transparent and has a significantly lower cost than a traditional model. What You Will Learn: Over a three to four month period, you will be interviewing highly technical engineers managers in several of our key industries, including Software Development, Aerospace and Space Vehicles, Automotive and Heavy Industry. You will be taught the main skills of each job so you can properly qualify the candidates. You will also learn and incredible amount everyday by listening to the candidates explain their jobs, setting you up for a potential career in consulting or allowing you to understand and learn more about industries with traditionally restrictive access. We expect you to be in NYC Area so you can have several meetings a week with the Director, but otherwise you will be working at home most of the time and expected to manage your time accordingly. Tasks: The front office recruiter will be on the phone with candidates that send their resumes as well as cold calling from candidate lists and name gathering unknown candidates. You have a lot of administrative help from the back office staff to ensure that you can be on the phone and that you don't waste any valuable time doing admin. Below is a breakdown of the tasks you will do: Go through a call list pre-arranged by the back office, mixed with scheduled calls as well as lists of people we need to cold call. Strategically name gather unknown candidates from target companies Qualify candidates, most of which are highly technical engineering positions Always ask the client for more business (we don't consider this business development because the clients generally have agreed to hand over large amounts of roles already) Create an on-going report about the size and structure of the client's talent pool As mentioned before, administration and business development are limited in this role. We want someone who can have competent conversations, is persuasive when talking with candidates and enjoys being on the phone a lot. You need to have at least three years of technical recruitment experience. This position can work remotely in the US or Canada, but anyone in commuting distance of Manhattan should point their location out.
