Harbor to the Bay Intern
AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts —
Boston, MA
About the Organization and Development Team:
Founded in 1983, AIDS Action Committee of Massachusetts, Inc., is New Englands first and largest AIDS service organization. Our mission is to stop the epidemic and related health inequities by eliminating new infections, maximizing healthier outcomes of those infected & at risk, and attacking root causes of HIV/AIDS.
We are a fast paced crew looking for students interested in learning more about the ins and outs of non-profit work and looking to increase understanding of the campaign work involved in recruiting peer-to-peer fundraisers.
In Summer 2013, we are seeking an intern to help us raise awareness and funding for AIDS Action Committee through Harbor to the Bay. This volunteer-run, grassroots event is a one day AIDS benefit bike ride from Boston to Provincetown. We recruit riders and crew members to fundraise on behalf of AIDS Action Committee.
The right candidate would be an individual who is passionate about social justice and/or health care issues, interested in non-profit fundraising, and ready to multi-task and contribute to our team.
