Social Media Editorial Internship for fluent Spanish, Arabic, and Chinese speakers
Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists —
Virtual
The mission of the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists is to inform policy leaders and the public about risks to humanity from nuclear weapons, nuclear energy, climate change, and biotechnology. By publishing expert analysis, convening scientists and policymakers, and tracking trends with the Doomsday Clock, we provide knowledge and solutions for a safer world.
Three Interns will work with the Bulletin of the Atomic Scientists Editor, the Development and Disarmament Editor, and the Internet Outreach Coordinator and Tweet in Arabic, Chinese, and Spanish about the ongoing Development and Disarmament Roundtable issues that are published on the Bulletins website. This student must grow the assigned Twitter handle, identify and liaise with Arabic-speaking, Chinese-speaking, and Spanish-speaking experts, opinion-makers, etc., and make appropriate contacts within those circles. This is a perfect opportunity for the right candidates to gain experience with social media strategy as it relates to an editorial calendar, while establishing a firm understanding of social media ethics as they relate to a well-known and respected publication.
