Today, Covenant House is the largest privately-funded agency in the Americas providing food, shelter, immediate crisis care, and essential services to homeless, throwaway, and runaway kids. Covenant House doesn't stop at offering an immediate safe harbor to homeless kids; we strive to move each young person forward down the path to an independent adulthood, free from the risk of future homelessness. Covenant House International owns and operates centers in four countries in Latin America to serve and rehabilitate homeless youth and victims of human trafficking. The Latin America Intern will be based out of Covenant Houses International Headquarters in NYC and must be able to read, write and speak in Spanish. Interns will have the exclusive opportunity to collaborate specifically with the Senior Vice President of Latin America as well as with our international program directors. The dates for the internship are flexible, though the minimum commitment is a semester and 20 hours per week.
