DescriptionEquality Texas is in the business of securing equality in the state by advocating and lobbying for the elimination of discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity/expression. To do this, we must educate and engage the public about policies and their effect on Texans of all sexual orientations and gender identities/expressions. Getting our message out is crucial to our success. Equality Texas’ Communications Program is reaching out to targeted audiences across our vast state to educate Texans about LGBT issues and people, changing hearts and minds along the way. Social Media & Website Managament Interns at Equality Texas will play an integral role in expanding our website and web2.0 presence, producing and managing content for our website, our YouTube Channel, and for our social networking and blog sites. Communications interns are utilized year-round to assist the department in achieving its goals.
