DescriptionEcoWatch is a leading environmental website reporting on environmental news, green living and sustainable business. It also features content from students around the world, and renowned environmental and business leaders. EcoWatch is working to make more people conscious of their impact on the Earth. We’re looking for college students who are interested in a fall semester virtual internship to help educate and motivate people to protect human health and the environment.
Join our team and immerse yourself in the online news industry. Help promote EcoWatch’s environmental content on social media sites, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Google+, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Tumblr, StumbleUpon and more. Help grow the communities on these platforms and play a leading role in moving the conversation forward.

Interns will work as campus ambassadors and need to commit at least an average of 10 hours a week.

ResponsibilitiesAs an EcoWatcher, your job is to:
-Encourage students to submit content to EcoWatch’s University vertical
-Increase subscribers to EcoWatch
-Increase engagement on social media
-Amplify the EcoWatch brand
-Report weekly on what you’ve accomplished
-Connect with EcoWatchers on other campuses to share ideas via exclusive Facebook group
Suggestions on ways to get the job done:
-Participate in campus events by tabeling and handing out provided promotional material
-Plan documentary screenings on campus sponsored by EcoWatch
-Ask professors to have their students subscribe to EcoWatch’s Top News of the Day and integrate EcoWatch’s content into their curriculum
-Collaborate with environmental student groups and get them engaged on EcoWatch
-Hand out EcoWatch bookmarks and other promotional materials
-Make announcements in your classes and environmentally-related classes about EcoWatch as a resource for assignments and overall education on environmental issues.
-Excellent organizational and time management skills with a strong attention to detail
-Excellent written and verbal communication skills
-Experience on multiple social media platforms with high proficiency in programs like Google Docs
-Strong connections on campus and great ability to network
-Independent and self-motivated
-Creativity in planning events and engaging peers
-Aligned Degrees: Environmental Studies, Sustainability, Journalism, Sustainability MBA and more
