DescriptionHealthy Food Blogger (The Picky Eater @ http://pickyeaterblog.com/) is looking for a qualified marketing / public relations / internet marketing / social media intern to join our team. The Picky Eater is quickly becoming one of the top heatlhy food blogs on the web, and we’re looking for someone who can design our marketing efforts from the ground-up and execute those plans independently. This intern would be responsible for helping to grow awareness about The Picky Eater and healthy living through social media, PR and other marketing efforts. This is a great opportunity for someone who’s looking to define the marketing & PR strategy for a small business: this intern will work directly with the owner and founder of The Picky Eater for the entire length of the internship. This intern should be prepared to think both strategically and operationally, be a strong communicator, work with all forms of social media and viral / internet marketing, and will finish the internship having gained broad experience in various aspects of marketing, public relations and social media.

Responsibilities- Drive creative marketing campaigns to help grow awareness e.g. email campaigns, signage, partnerships with healthy artisan food companies, marketing materials, etc.
- Perform analysis of success metrics for campaigns (e.g. uplift in page views, blog subscribers, etc.)
- Provide support to social media efforts
- Monitor and post on blogs, forums, and social networks
- Online outreach and promotion using Facebook, MySpace, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more
- Monitor all forms of media
- Schedule and coordinate speaking engagements, appearances, photo shoots, and other special events
- Write press releases and other materials
- Assist with mailings, print production
- Compile contact lists & outreach ideas
RequirementsStudents applying for this internship should be Marketing / Business / Advertising or Sales majors. This person should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, with extensive knowledge of Web and social media. Passion for food, healthy living, or healthy food is a bonus, as is PowerPoint, Word and Excel experience, and will be considered when choosing the best applicant for this internship position.
Intern can work remotely, and doesn’t need extensive prior work experience to apply. Part-time options are available (e.g. 10-20 hours/week).
This position is unpaid, but upon successful completion of the internship, will include a strong letter of recommendation & reference for future positions or grad school.
