Harris ImageWorks is a Professional Image Consulting Firm based in the Washington DC Metro Area. Our mission is to help men, women, and organizations develop their unique personal or corporate brand by building or refining their image/identity visa vie appearance, behavior and communication skills. The Company's President and Founder is a Certified Image Consultant, Personal Brand Coach, & Stylist. She was also trained by Stacy London of the hit TLC show "What Not to Wear."

We are currently seeking seeking creative talent who is detailed oriented and possess the technical skills and creative flare for marketing and web-based/social media communications. A strong interest in fashion, style, image management, and personal branding is ideal. This individual will work directly with the company President. This is a non-paid position, however it is an opportunity to get experience to build your sills, contacts, resume, and if applicable to receive school credit.

Responsibilities

The individual will be responsible for assisting the company President in generating publicity through various online communication tools and social media activities to include, maintaining the company’s web-based media and social media outlets including the corporate website, Face Book Fan page, Blog, YouTube videos, etc. Additional responsibilities include:

-Assisting in the planning, coordination and execution of special events (to include corporate presentations, webinars, fashion/style related events, etc.)
-Strategic planning, marketing research, and business development activities
-Assisting with quarterly newsletters, publishing articles, etc.
-Administrative duties as required

Requirements

The #1 qualification is professionalism – this encompasses a variety of qualities, including promptness, attention to detail, good written and oral communication skills, a professional appearance, and integrity to do what you say you will do. In addition:

-Flexible and able to adapt to changing priorities
-Proficient using Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel is a must. Additional desktop publishing and media knowledge a plus
-Experience or strong interest in learning Social Media and Email Marketing
-Event Planning experience a plus.
-Internet and database skills, strong organizational skills; ability to work independently; strong attention to details.
-Experience or interest in fashion, style, image management, etiquette or personal branding is preferred but not required
-Knowledge in graphic design software programs is a plus
