Social Media Coordination Intern

Our marketing team seeks and intern to assist in the planning, implementation, communication, research and development of our global provider network.

ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include being proactive with culturally sensitive approaches, new ideas, collaborating and building relationships with internal and external customers. You will oversee the process of gathering required data and presenting the research in publishable form.
Work with members of the Mercury Healthcare executive staff, the CEO, the Commercial
Directors, brokers and marketing teams and other department members to complete various projects.
Help to develop new media opportunities and assist with planning new collateral.
Work collaboratively to proactively manage company and team member expectations and demonstrates social media ROI through metrics, periodic reports and ongoing analysis.
Completes error-free work on time, on strategy, on budget.
Monitors and provides regular status updates and keeps team members in the know.
Helps set and drive timelines.
Help author and/or assist others to ghost write company blog posts and articles, lead podcasts, videos and screencasts to support the Mercury brand; monitor and participate in online conversations to build brand visibility and support Mercury thought leadership positioning.
Collaborate with the social media coordinator for cohesive messaging and branding.
Communicate and collaborate effectively with all key players to ensure quality internal and
external customer service.
Prepare a final project report and organize and maintain your own portfolio of accomplishments and ROI reports.
RequirementsWe seek energetic and enthusiastic public relations intern in our Denver, Colorado headquarters. Ideal candidates will be detail-oriented with excellent organizational and computer skills and available 25-30 hours per week.
This is an exciting and challenging project for a junior or senior level undergraduate student with emphasis in marketing, public relations or international business development. You will work with our Public Relations director and Marketing manager and fellow interns.
This position requires weekly reports presented during senior staff meetings, leading web-based presentations, and using interpersonal skills and occasionally providing assistance to other colleagues, country managers and interns on the team. This role also interacts with the international public, media, and foreign government agencies.
Together with the Public Relations Intern and the senior marketing and executive staff, the candidate will delivers fresh, creative ideas; builds and executes strategic plans that align with business objectives; remains current on new social media tools, best practices and case studies to ensure early adoption; identifies, analyzes and responds to issues, patterns and trends impacting the Company.
The intern will learn aspects of writing social media materials including mini-press releases, short message blasts, engaging topics and postings, and driving engagement of various domestic and international audiences. This is a great opportunity for an intern to learn culturally-differentiated, social media for healthcare on a global scale. Qualified candidates are excellent writers, organized, capable of multi-tasking and have a firm understanding of statistical and ROI analysis.
You must be of age to execute a nondisclosure and confidentiality agreement and the integrity to uphold it.
- Must be currently enrolled in college, junior or senior who needs an internship for college credit.
- Must be currently enrolled in one of the above-mentioned programs at an affiliated and accredited Colorado college or university students must be in good standing.
- Students must have a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 (B Average) on a 4.0 scale.
- Must be able to work in a professional office setting and telecommute.
- Excellent research, analytical, grammar, and writing skills are required.
- Must have Photoshop, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet and Adobe Acrobat skills. you other programs such as ConstantContact, BlogTalkRadio, SocialOomph, Posterous, Audacity, etc.
- Two non-academic writing samples will be reviewed.
- Must speak, read and write English fluently.
