The main responsibilities of a public relations internship job are working on assigned public relations programs and collaborating with the media to complete designated projects. Interacting with clients, completing assigned duties like research, pitching the media etc, and presenting appearances and other media opportunities and recommendations to the management may also be part of a PR intern job. Other duties include building PR strategies, analyzing industry data, working in the field and interacting with current clients.
For success in a PR intern role, a candidate must possess effective interpersonal, communication, negotiation and planning skills. Self motivation and willingness to learn new skills are also important.
Responsibilities- Organize and collect progress reports
- Contacting the media to book clients
-Follow up with prospective clients
- Create proposals for new clients
- Develop media materials for current clients
- Monitor project calendar, ensuring project is on schedule and in budget
- Monitor Editorial Calendars of multiple media outlets and compile data for specific client's media plans.
RequirementsAn interest in public relations and media relations.
Strong English skills both verbal and written is a must
Willingness to create pitches for our clients and run them by the PR Executive Team
Willingness to send out pitches via email and contact the media via phone to book clients.
