DescriptionThe Bring Back Main Street Committee is seeking highly-motivated individuals for our Social Media Internship Program to manage our web presence, including web site, email, Facebook, Twitter, Goggle+ and Pinterest. Intern will also gather and organize online and traditional contact info. Our internships are fast-paced, fun, demanding and rewarding. Participants will work directly with candidates and grass roots activist in the exciting world of political organizing campaigning, with opportunities to build their skills in a variety of areas.
Notable qualities include creativity, a desire to innovate and experiment in the online space, and the ability to learn quickly on the fly. Flexible scheduling. Open to students from ANY academic major; as long as they fit the criteria above.

ResponsibilitiesOur interns play a vital role in the brainstorming, design, development and implementation of a host of different projects. You may design, research, market or write while interning in this department. Interns will be responsible for keeping Michael current and active on Social Media.
Our interns will engage in online research & input, able to find relevant news and reports online; compose abstracts and keywords; upload documents to our website.
Interns will update broken & outdated links on our site. Manage and update our social media sites (Facebook, Twitter & etc) Help to moderate our blog.
Interns will collaborate with the Communications Department and report to the Communication Strategist
Interns may engage in community outreach projects when necessary.
RequirementsThe Online Department is seeking hard-working, motivated students who are interested in:
Politics, New Media, Online Marketing, Communications, Journalism, and Graphic Design. Interns will provide links to 1-3 social networking profiles to demonstrate interest and knowledge
Interns must posses skills in writing, presentation and interpersonal relations.
