The social media intern will be instrumental in increasing our social media presence and attracting visibility for our brand. The intern will also assist in social media projects, event planning, networking and contributing to our blog. It is key that our social media intern is a team player.


• Create and maintain a plan for ShoeKandi’s web presence including a content editorial calendar
• Aggregate and/or create article and video content (work alongside chief executive officer)
• Communicate exciting social media news (internally and externally)
• Monitor and connect on a mixture of social media platforms
• Put together bi-monthly newsletter
• Perform continuous enhancements and modifications to blogs, websites (as needed) and social media outlets
• Keep abreast of new standards, technologies and trends - devise plans for future improvement to social media tactics
• Act as liaison between blog readers and company
• Interface with web design team to insure cohesiveness between blog(s) and company web site
• Internet research (TBD)
• Track web statistics
• Assist w/ creation of national advertising project
• Attend and contribute in advertising meetings (via email, conference, in-person) if available
• Assist w/ seeking sponsorship for annual events
• Assist w/ overall planning including but not limited to budgeting, support staff coordination, establishing dates and alternate dates, location, etc.
• Attend various social and networking functions
• Work on designated projects laid out in your Work Plan

Must be computer and Internet search engine savvy to perform online research. Must thrive in a fast paced, entrepreneurial environment but be proactive and comfortable working in a virtual setting.

• Creative Writing Ability

• Loves Fashion or considers oneself a “fashionista” or “shoeologist”
• Social Butterfly
• Comfortable Communicating w/ Decision Makers
• Ability to Multitask and Manage Multiple Priorities
• Ideally has a Laptop to work from
• Would prefer a College Junior or Senior at the Undergraduate level
