Description

Our company is a consulting firm that provides small business coaching to micro-enterprise business owners who sell a professional service. Our clients are based mainly in the US and the UK and we’re focused on helping them to get more clients, close more sales and grow their business overall.

Because of our focus in business, this internship allows the candidate to experience not only the marketing we use to grow our business but you will also have access to the strategies we teach our clients to help them grow their businesses as well. This invaluable insight will help you gain a strong business sense for future job opportunities.

We are also a small company so we’re not set in our ways and we have far more flexibility to allow you to get your hands on a variety of tasks and to give you experiences you may desire.

Additionally, you will be working directly with the founder and CEO who has extensive experience interviewing, hiring, training hundreds of college graduates for entry level positions. You will receive personal guidance and coaching on how to build a compelling resume and also on how to best interview to get your next job. You’ll receive valuable tips on what employers really want and how to position yourself as a strong candidate.

You will also receive a strong reference letter based on the dedication, maturity and reliability shown with the tasks assigned and also the experience you gained as a result of working with us. We are also happy to provide a strong and compelling verbal reference to prospective employers by telephone as well.

You will thoroughly enjoy this experience as you will be given extensive guidance through our online video training. That said, you'll also have the ability to display creativity and initiative as well.

Additionally, you will be working alongside a well-known and masterful business coach in the professional services industry, who genuinely enjoys training and helping others to succeed.

Without a doubt, the breadth and depth of experience will be an incredibly valuable experience for future employment.

Responsibilities


The ideal candidate will be involved in the execution of online social media marketing campaigns in a micro-enterprise business. You will have the opportunity to help us tweak processes to make our online marketing increasingly effective.

No prior marketing experience required and candidate does not need to be a marketing major.

You will thoroughly enjoy this experience as you will be given extensive guidance through our online video training. Video training delivered by Social Media Marketing experts will be provided. That said, you'll also have plenty of responsibility with turning what you learned into actionable strategies for our business.

This job entails:
Building, maintaining and promoting social media profiles for:
-Twitter
-Facebook
-YouTube
-LinkedIn
-And all other social networking sites as deemed appropriate

You will also be responsible for implementing social media strategies to increase leads to our business and also to strengthen our online relationships. Overall, you will have a strong direct contribution to our company’s bottom line of attracting new leads and potential clients through social media; an undoubtedly strong skill set for your resume.


Additionally, you will be responsible for sending an email at the end of each day you work answering the following questions:
* What you got done that day?
* What challenges or obstacles you encountered?
* What questions you have?
* What ideas or improvement suggestions do you have?

This internship would *NOT* be a good match for you if you are looking for:

* Someone to watch over your shoulder every 5 minutes to make sure you get things done

Requirements

Interns applying for this internship should be Public Relations, Marketing, Business, or Journalism, News Media and Communications majors with experience on the Web and a solid understanding of social media. We prefer current college students but would consider recent graduates.

Must be a dedicated, responsible, creative, articulate, personable and an organized self-starter. The applicant should possess knowledge of social media platforms, as well as possess excellent communications skills, be detail oriented and be able to work on a variety of projects simultaneously.

Additional Qualifications we are looking for:

- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written

- Ability to multi-task
- Reliable, detail-oriented and extremely motivated
- Candidate will work in a highly confidential environment and must maintain confidentiality at all times.

- Highly responsive to requests and tasks assigned
- Consistently reliable and shows strong initiative and good judgment with responsibilities.
- Has a track record of being timely, responsible and mature in the execution of tasks and your references can attest to that.

This is an unpaid internship for college credit if desired. We will work with your school/academic advisor to help you fulfill college credit if needed but please let us know PRIOR to the beginning of your internship so we can coordinate appropriately with your school.
