The Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce is seeking a part-time intern to assist in managing the Chamber’s various social media campaigns. Interns will work under the Chamber’s Program and Events Manager and Marketing and Design Specialist.
The ongoing mission of the Beverly Hills Chamber of Commerce is to serve the local business community through marketing, advocacy and education. The Chamber - with its committees, councils, staff and valuable members - works with city officials, local businesses and the community at large to promote the local economy.
The intern’s duties will include:
• Plan the Chamber’s social media campaigns on the various platforms (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.). Experience with Hootsuite or other social media management tool is a major plus.
• Execute the campaigns and be prepared to analyze the metrics to see which campaigns generated the most enthusiasm and “applause” among the Chamber’s subscribers
• Candidate must have excellent written English and be familiar with all facets of using social media to build awareness and loyalty among a customer base. Experience with non-profits is helpful but not required.
We’re looking for someone who is level-headed and a real self-starter who can produce quality work with minimal supervision. This position will give the intern exposure to the Beverly Hills business community and provide a great opportunity to build experience in a dynamic business environment. We are a small office and past interns have often had great responsibility for certain projects.
The position is unpaid and can be used as course credit. Interns are expected to work anywhere between two-to-four days a week for a total of 16-32 hours a week. The office is located on South Santa Monica Blvd at Canon Drive with comped parking a block away.
