Open only to industry professionals, the Beauty Expert Exchange member population includes individuals working within the disciplines of hair, skin, nails, fashion, health & fitness, inner wellness, medicine, and dentistry.
Internships with BXX offer a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in a career in beauty, fashion, events, media, social networking and PR & marketing. Interns can expect to gain valuable experience in the beauty and fashion industries as well as be mentored by leading entrepreneurs and professionals within the beauty community.

Beauty Expert Exchange internships are offered exclusively to students currently enrolled in a semester at an accredited school or university. [FIDM students encouraged to apply.] An intern can expect to work 10-25 hours per week for the duration of the student's semester.
Social Media Intern:
The Social Media Intern is responsible for assisting in implementing a variety of marketing communications projects. This position requires a candidate who is self-motivated, deadline-driven and outgoing, and who possesses strong writing capabilities. Position is non-paid, but candidates can receive college credit with university approval.
ResponsibilitiesDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES (included but not limited to):
Develop and implement a comprehensive social media campaign
Optimize YouTube Channel and acquire more subscribers and promote video content to increase viewers
Assist in the optimization of the BXX online community, develop and monitor online content with goal of increasing member population and activity
Online outreach and promotion using the BXX network, Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and more
Design, monitor, and manage the weekly BXX e-newsletter creating weekly segments that are relevant and captivating
Monitor and analyze program results of blogs, network posts and discussions, and social media
Maintain project plans to update on status of programs
Proactively make strategic program recommendations
Track followers through Google analytics data to gain insights into program performance
Generate and deliver performance reports on an ongoing basis
RequirementsKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Strong organizational, verbal and writing skills
Exceptional knowledge of social networking sites, like Facebook and Twitter
Proficiency in all Microsoft/Apple Office programs
Self-motivated, detail-oriented and able to receive and follow-through on direction and assignment
Must be friendly, organized, honest, and team-oriented with a strong work ethic
Proficiency in Microsoft/Apple Office programs, online search engines, and web-based applications
Graphic design experience (preferred but not mandatory)
Must own a laptop
CREDENTIALS AND EXPERIENCE:
Pursuing a degree in marketing, business, communications, journalism,
PR or related field with an interest in beauty and/or fashion. Please include college status and GPA.
Advanced proofreading and editing ability
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
