Description

Social Media Delivered is currently seeking candidates for a part-time, 240 hour, unpaid, professional internship. Candidates must be a sophomore, junior or senior currently enrolled in a university or a recent graduate with a background in Journalism, Marketing, Computer Science, New Media, Graphic Design, Public Relations, Account Planning or a field related to the growth of social media. SMD can provide college credit to those who need it.

Candidates must be available to work 20 hours a week. Interns are able to choose their own hours and workdays. Dress code is casual and the work environment is relaxed. Social Media Delivered offers interns many fun opportunities to further their knowledge of social media in the business world, such as live tweeting at events. In addition, there are many fun events throughout the year at SMD, such as the annual pie fight.

Responsibilities

The SMD Intern is responsible for all tasks assigned by the Social Media Manager; in addition to the:
-Drafting/proofreading/updating micro blogs for review and consideration
-Developing in depth client industry knowledge in order to better provide social media expertise/service
-Producing creative writing and graphic design that will generate a stronger social media presence for clients
-Providing current industry articles that show relevant news and industry trends in social media for the teams as well as our clients
-Generating strong writing which reflects a client's brand and character through social media vehicles.

Requirements

Candidates should possess strong writing, time management, and organizational skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills and knowledge of MS Office are necessary. Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite and HTML/FBML Coding is appreciated but not required.
