TheCelebrityCafe.com offers a 12-week internship that will enable marketing students to practice their classroom learning in a real-world environment, and showcase their talents on the longest-running entertainment magazine on the Internet. Marketers will receive regular feedback on their work from editors, and will be followed throughout the program by TheCelebrityCafe.com's staff of professional journalists.
Here’s what you need to know about the program:
The internship is an unpaid, work from home position for college credit.
It’s only 10 hours a week for 12 weeks.
Work from home in your pj’s – or however you’re most comfortable - all you need is a computer and reliable internet.
We teach you how to use social media to your advantage by combining who you are with what you do. (aka personal branding)
You will undergo on-the-job training to provide a working knowledge of online marketing.
Social media promotion and personal branding techniques will be taught and use of Facebook, Twitter, StumbleUpon, etc are REQUIRED for all of our programs.
You will be expected to create online content for Facebook, Twitter, etc, comment and share on site activity, create unique user content such as memes, polls, etc to engage readers and build followers.
In addition you will be assigned to one specific area of our social media to try to improve it - gain more follower, increase referrals, engage more followers - by trying new things improving on the old.
Academic credit is easy to get - we work with any requirements your school has.
Requirements- An account with Facebook, Twitter, Fark, StumbleUpon, Reddit, Digg, Delicious
- Background in marketing, public relations or related field
- Excellent written communication skills
- Computer savvy; must be able to work online
- Ability to juggle numerous tasks at once
- Organization and deadline management skills
- Strong social media presence
