DescriptionNew York based Emmy award-winning television, Film and New Media production company is seeking social media marketing interns to join our highly creative cutting -edge team. We are storytellers whose work focuses on people. We have been featured widely in the media from the New York Times to national talk shows. Our shows have been shown on HBO, TLC, and Discovery Health. We are currently in the post-production phase of a personal and social action feature documentary film.
We are specifically seeking an individual who understand the relationship between social medial and social issue film outreach. We seek to build relationships through collaboration, partnerships and audience engagement. It is important to have the creative skills to use marketing and social media tools strategically for social issue documentary outreach to be effective. We are looking for an individual who understands and is excited by these concepts
An ideal candidate has excellent organizational and communication skills, is detail oriented, creative, computer savvy, reliable, and ambitious. Looking for a smart, aspiring go-getter. Must be able to work in a fast paced environment. Business/Marketing background is a plus!
This is a great opportunity to work along side an Emmy award winning director/producer and a highly motivated and creative team. This position CAN be worked remotely. This is an UNPAID internship.
ResponsibilitiesManaging social media websites, creating marketing strategies for upcoming documentary, creating ads, developing outreach partnerships for film/company, and networking.
? Obtaining/recently obtained a degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or other related fields.
? Excellent organizational skills with a strong attention detail and ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
? Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment
? Ability and enthusiasm to develop exciting ideas for public awareness, and engagement content through a variety social media and online platforms.
? Skill set and talent to spearhead and maintain marketing techniques in order to increase visibility, following and foster potential partnerships.
? Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
? Expert in Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
? Strong background in networking
? Expertise with social media sites such as twitter, facebook, wordpress, pinterest, instagram
