Wear A Big Deal (WBD) is an online consignment shop launching this winter! It focuses on connecting consumers with unique and affordable fashion finds that come from the “Big Deals” of the industry. What differentiates us from other online resale shops is our closet feature, which allows shoppers to get a first-class experience into the closets of their favorite trendsetters.
We are seeking a Social Media Marketing intern with to assist with our social media marketing efforts. You will learn the ins and outs of our business and how to make social media a productive part of our overall marketing efforts. This internship is an unpaid position. The job requires 7-10 hours weekly.

Responsibilities

The Social Media Marketing Intern will focus on one or more of the following key business areas:
-Develop and execute member communications
-Assist with influencers & Blogger Society growth and management
-Assist with social media communications and planning
-Research competitor and social media trends and identify industry best practices
-Uploading videos, photo albums, etc.
-Finding users to follow/friend/like our business
-Writing and posting blog posts/tweets/updates, etc.
-Tracking the growth and the impact of social media on our business
-Replying to comments, messages, etc.
-Report findings to the team
-Consistently learn and grow, ask pertinent questions

Requirements

Qualifications

The Social Media Marketing Intern must be a self-starter; possess an entrepreneurial spirit needed to work within a fast-paced, start-up environment; demonstrate maturity, poise and good humor; and have the ability to work well independently and within a team.

Additional qualifications include:

-Work experience or coursework focus in marketing, social media strategy or related field
-Demonstrated consumer-facing writing
-Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple priorities at once
-Exceptional oral and written communication skills
-Knowledge in social media and social engagement tactics
-Flexibility to work on a variety of projects
-Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint and
