Your learning experience as a Social Media Specialist will be working with our Vice President of Marketing and IT staff to develop plans to enhance our brand in all social media. You will learn how to develop a social media plan, research social media to determine the best fit for our PBS TV station. Assist with the design and placement of our message to our target audience(s) and learn how to improve our communications with this market.


You will learn how to design a social media page, build a list of contacts, post messages, answer inquiries, design a profile and track the results. Develop a report for the Vice President of Marketing to explain the effectiveness of using social media and where our college is weak and how to improve our image and responsiveness.


Basic computer skills including using any word processing software. Basic understanding of Social Media, what it's benefits for research, communications and event activities.
