Description

Famous Fido is a 501(c)3 charity organization that was created to hasten an end to the countless death of Chicagoland's adoptable companion animals caused by overpopulation and an inability to match up animals in a safe and timely manner. We engage in hands-on rescue efforts of dogs slated for euthanasia from overcrowded facilities. We aim to significantly broaden Chicagoland's ability to end pet overpopulation and to find forever homes for more companion animals by forging alliances between concerned citizens, private and public organizations, educators, lawmakers, Chicago shelters and rescue organizations who are committed to doing the same.
We are in the middle of building the foundation of a No-Kill alliance that would united other animal rescues and animal lovers through the city of Chicago to end the unnecessary killing of animals in our city. We aim to educate the public on the current call for shelter reform, responsible re-homing of companions should the need arise, and the abandonment issues that is currently plaguing the United States. We want to eliminate the need for kill shelters and to allow every animal a right to life, no matter the age, breed, or sex of the animal.

Responsibilities

-Design and upkeep a web site for the upcoming No-Kill Alliance of Chicago web page
-Be able to efficiently use social media to promote events of the alliance as well as the formation of the alliance itself

Requirements

Must be proficient on social media platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, etc. and know basic HTML code to design a web page.
