Located just several blocks away from the White House, the Bridging Nations interns have the opportunity to develop skills in social media and marketing while also networking with all the people and organizations in the nation's capital.

Position Summary:

The Social Media and Marketing Interns will help create, curate and distribute content that promotes the mission of the Bridging Nations Foundation and its two initiatives, Higher Education and Workforce Development and US-India-China Relations. Daily tasks include writing blogs, posting content onto the organization's social media pages, coming up with marketing strategies, reaching out to niche bloggers and researching current events. Social Media and Marketing Interns can work in increments of three, six or nine months.

Experience using social media, including Facebook, Twitter, Tumblr, Pinterest and LinkedIn, among others.
Excellent writing and editing skills. Knowledge of AP Style is preferred.
A basic understanding of website analytics.
Previous experience working with WordPress.
An understanding of how to make complex policy issues understandable for a wider audience.
The flexibility to work on administrative tasks in addition to social media and marketing duties.
A great sense of humor and the ability to work in an intimate office setting with program coordinators and fellow interns.
Prospective interns must be recent graduates or currently enrolled in an undergraduate/graduate program at an accredited four-year university.Interested candidates must also be able to commit at least 20 hours to the internship.Those with a background or interest in Asian studies and environmental studies are encouraged to apply.

We accept interns on a rolling admission. The intern coordinator is flexible in setting up schedules and understands if students and recent graduates must work part-time in addition to the internship.
