The intern for FremantleMedia’s Research Department will assist the Manager of Research with various projects and will learn about television and brand research, social media, and the entertainment business as a whole. Duties of the Research Intern include:

• Be actively involved in FremantleMedia’s proprietary panel, which researches television programs, brands, licensing and consumer products initiatives, social gaming, and live events
• Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis
• Aide in creation of presentations to senior management
• Jump-start social media research initiative by monitoring trends and creating social media research reports
• Constantly read and evaluate tweets, status updates, blog posts, and comments about our television programs

Requirements

Required Qualifications
• Must be eligible to work in the United States
• Current student enrolled full-time in an accredited undergraduate or graduate program (preferably with a Business, Marketing, Public Relations, Management, Statistics, English, or Liberal Arts background)
• Able to provide proof of academic credit prior to start of internship
• Must be available to work a minimum of 15 hours per week for at least 12 weeks
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office’s Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
• Extremely organized, detail-oriented, able to multi-task, and meet deadlines
• Able to learn fast, think creatively, communicate openly and effectively, and be a true team player
• Basic understanding of social media sites (Facebook, Twitter, Get Glue, Viggle, Miso, YouTube, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications
• Outstanding leadership skills – involved in community service, honor societies, university clubs/organizations, etc.
• Possess a basic understanding of television and the entertainment business
• Extremely savvy with the world of social media
