Description

NYC solar start-up looking for an intern with strong understanding of the digital media landscape
to oversee company's and CEO's public profiles.

Initial hire will be part time and unpaid with the option of moving to full-time or paid position. We
can however reimburse for work related expenses. You will need your own laptop or computer to
complete internship projects. Most importantly, candidate should be flexible and willing to take on multiple tasks in a start up environment. This internship will benefit someone who is interested in marketing, business, entrepreneurship and/or renewable energy.

Responsibilities

Monitor and update company's social networks - Respond to posts or comments to bring
value to user’s interactions with company
• Research solar industry topics, interview industry thought leaders and write and post
articles/blog based on that research
• Online outreach and promotion using Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, etc. - posts updates
news and announcements in a timely manner using appropriate content
• Construct and send marketing emails
• Keep email list and contacts up-to-date
• Website and social media optimisation
• Pitch ideas for articles

Requirements

Creative self starter who is comfortable with both taking initiative and working in
collaboration
• Detail oriented with strong written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organised
• Ability to conduct independent research
• Time management skills to successfully work remotely
• Solid understanding of youth markets
• Solid understanding of social media trends and apps
• RELIABLE, with a strong work ethic
