DescriptionTREE SAN DIEGO, a small non-profit organization located in southern California, seeks to increase the quality and amount of the urban forest, especially in communities of concern, in order to provide a healthier place to live, work, and play. While trees themselves are of central importance, their planting provides a tool to catalyze positive social change within neighborhoods. This unpaid internship is intimately involved with the building of community around the planting and care of urban trees. We will work with you to select a combination of tasks that suits your professional needs. Possibilities include: help create marketing material; update and edit our website (www.treesandiego.org); post on various social media outlets; develop graphic stories about tree planting and tree care; organize and operate a poster contest; help represent Tree San Diego at various events; and more. Learn how to do outreach for a non-profit organization.
