Description

Lifestyle Development Group LLC has an immediate opening for an editorial/social media intern for our health and wellness startup online magazine. The primary duties include content creation for our social media, blog and newsletter. The intern will assist with creating stimulating, engaging content that creates strong call-to-action, and help us grow our social media following.

While the main tasks will be writing, our editorial/social media intern will also help source images to accompany blog and social media posts. Design skills are a plus.

The editorial/social media intern will help boost our social media following and engagement, so an understanding of how to harness social media to create an authentic and interactive community is essential as well.

This is a part-time, remote internship. The duration can be from 3-6 months. Position is ideal for students and recent graduates who love writing and communication, and are interested in some or all of the following topics: health, wellness, spirituality, yoga, exercise, nutrition, healthy eating, work-life balance, and similar topics. The successful candidate will work directly with the Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities

Students or recent graduates with an interest in lifestyle, health, and wellness writing and content creation.

Hours/Location
Make your own schedule.
Must be available for email communication, and a weekly virtual meeting with the Marketing Manager.

Requirements

Please submit a sample of your work: At least 1 blog post (500-600 words). Your blog post can be on any of the following topics: health, wellness, spirituality, yoga, exercise, nutrition, healthy eating, work-life balance, and similar topics.

• Strong writing ability
• Knowledge and interest in health and wellness
• Great research skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Organized, dependable + trustworthy
• Ability to work independently and willingness to accept constructive criticism
• Ambitious, curious and inquisitive mind
• Great communication skills
• Highly motivated and positive "can-do" attitude
• Fluency in English is a prerequisite
• Prior internships or relevant experience strongly preferred
• Illustration and/or photography skills a plus

Software skills
• Microsoft Office
• Social media ninja
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign + Illustrator) a plus
