Description

Blacktina Magazine is an online platform created by an Afro-Latina/Black Hispanic of Panamanian and Colombian descent, for fellow Afro-Latinas/Black Hispanics. This platform is updated daily with concretely curated content relevant to the Afro-Latina/Black Hispanic community. With unique cultures and mixed identities, Afro-Latinas/Black Hispanics are often overlooked and ignorned, and dichotomized as either "black" or "hispanic." Through the coverage of cutting edge Latino and African American news, popular culture and politics, Blacktina’s editorial approach seeks to celebrate, inspire, inform, and give voice to today’s young urban Afro-Latina.

We need help growing our social media presence. Are you creative when it comes to online marketing and growing a social media presence? If you are a social media expert and interested in Latino and African American news, politics, and pop culture, this might be the internship of you.

Responsibilities

- Create weekly news letters, email campaigns, online promotions, etc.
- Provide support to social media efforts to target new audiences.
- Research and analyze competitors
- Collaborate with other team members on content and strategies for growing our online presence.

Requirements

- Pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Marketing
- Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Possess creativity, flexibility, variety, and growth potential.
- Should be open-minded, a fast learner, enthusiastic, and adaptable.

Skills

Required - Online Publishing, Microsoft Word, Social Media, Article Marketing, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram
Preferred - Basic Spanish, Bilingual-English/Spanish
