DescriptionBMV Magazine is intended for African American men residing in the District of Columbia and the surrounding metropolitan area. The primary goal of BMV is to educate and inspire young black men. We want to educate them of opportunities and happenings in their area. We also want to inspire them to become more self aware, and learn from other successful men that can relate to them.
We are currently seeking a creative and energetic individual to serve as our marketing and social media interns. This intern will gain valuable knowledge and experience in the field of marketing. Our large professional network will benefit the intern on future endeavors.
The intern must be residing in the Washington, DC area
Responsibilities-Assisting in marketing design, planning, and implementation
-Working with social media to increase the magazine's social media presence and engagement.
-Attending events on behalf of BMV Magazine
-Writing and posting blog posts/tweets/updates, etc.
-Actively pursuing new readers to the magazine
Requirements-Detailed knowledge and experience using social media
-Ability to use a smartphone and small camera equipment
-Minor experience with photography
-Flexibility and ability to deal with uncertainty
-Willingness to travel within the Washington, DC area (DMV) to attend events and meetings
-Ability to function and contribute individually, and participate in cross-functional teams
