Social Media Intern Needed for Busy Wedding Planning Boutique

The intern selected for this position will work closely with the CEO to determine media outlets for writing and distribution of press releases as well as conducting outreach to local media/political figures to promote the company's services offerings, events, and upcoming initiatives.


Assist in creating content for our brand to share through various social platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and Twitter.
Manage daily, weekly, & monthly calendars that are approved by the Creative Director to ensure creative, web, and PR are aligned in messaging.
Manage the development and flow of assets from creative team, making sure that deadlines are met.
Assist on photo shoots to ensure outputs are being optimized for web, print & social content.


The ideal Social Media Intern will possess strong knowledge of all social media as well as monitor and post on blogs and social networks. In addition, we encourage candidate to create engaging blog and social media content.

Must have use of a laptop and the ability to commit at least 6 hours a week.
Must possess a working knowledge of the following social media outlets: Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram
Strong written and organizations skills
Thorough understanding of all social media including but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram
Experience using social media management tools; specifically Hootsuite
Experience in Twitter Ads and Facebook Ads Manager

Skills that would be nice for you to have (but not necessary):

Email Marketing Experience; specifically MailChimp
Digital Marketing
Any coding skills
Business Development

Preferred - Canvas, MailChimp
