As our search engine optimization (SEO) specialist, you will be assisting our company with improving our web presence to reach more prospective customers as well as the other businesses we service. You will evaluate each company’s current web presence on various search engines and make recommendations to better their ranking and retain those positions. Once those recommendations are approved, you will be responsible for implementing them.
The SEO specialist will meet with our company staff as well as potential clients to discuss client needs , analyze site, and craft content in the form of “on-site optimization” to appeal to each search engines algorithm.
As the content on the site changes, the SEO specialist like also work on topics to keep the site fresh and appealing for search engines. Sites need to change regularly to encourage search sites to re-index them and refresh their results. As users add new content, it should be optimized.

Responsibilities

Part of this work can also include increasing web presence through social media and interaction on other websites. The SEO specialist will also evaluate negative search results and discuss methods for addressing them. This may include pushing positive results up as well as reaching out to people who have posted negative commentary to resolve problems. “They may also be asked to address a customer complaint and encourage the customer to remove or update the negative comment. So people skills are a must!”

Requirements

Must have experience in SEO (Search Engine Optimization) with regard to ALL aspects which include analyzing traffic, keywords, tags, meta descriptions, heading tags, alt image attributes, internal links, back links, social bookmarking, article submissions, etc.
Displays in-depth knowledge and understanding of Social Media platforms, their respective participants (Facebook, Twitter, Yelp, Google+Local, YouTube, Instagram, Pinterest etc.) and how each platform can be deployed in different scenarios.
Possesses functional knowledge and/or personal experience with WordPress and Microsoft office.
