Raw Bear (www.rawbear.co.uk) is a new health food brand currently specialising in one product, which is simply one of the greatest superfoods-drinks out there - Matcha Green Tea. As a recently launched e-commerce startup, we are still very much in the exciting infancy phase of business. We’re looking to try new things out with the aim of achieving consistent growth over the next few months and years.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an intern to help manage our social media profiles on Twitter, Facebook and Instagram - feel free to check them out @rawbearhealth - as well as being our resident content creator and blogger. As an aspiring health food brand, all blog posts must be health related, but we are happy and eager to give the successful applicant the freedom to come forward with new topics to cover.
Why should you apply?
Firstly, we will be looking to provide you with experience of creating your own content for our blog, managing social media and direct experience with content marketing, as well as getting an inside perspective into how a startup business operates. All rights to the content created will be owned by Raw Bear, but each post will include your name and links to your own website/blog, should you have one, therefore giving you a chance to build an online presence and a strong portfolio of work.
Secondly, the internship is location independent, meaning you will be able to conduct your work from wherever you like and whatever hours you feel is required to complete the work in hand (approximately 5-15 hours per week). This internship will work perfectly around other commitments such as study or another job.
This internship is based on an expenses paid basis initially, with a commitment of at least 3 months required. There is potential for this internship to turn to paid work further down the line.
There will also be opportunity for further involvement in the business as the internship progresses, depending on where your personal skills and interests lie.
Lastly, we will provide you with some free Matcha to be used in any content or pictures you create, as well as for you own personal consumption!
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities will include:
- Managing and sharing content to our 3 main social media platforms, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram. We will need these to be updated at least every 2 days but automated software can be used.
- Creating content for our website in the form of two 500-1000 word blog posts per week and two or more recipes that use our Matcha.
As explained in the description, this internships is location independent and will be conducted virtually. We estimate a time commitment of between 5 and 15 hours a week depending on your level of experience. Social media management software to automate postings will also be used, meaning as long as the content is there to be posted, it can be done without you having to be present at the time of posting.
RequirementsWe are really looking for someone who has a keen interest in health and nutrition - an avid green tea drinker would be an extra bonus.
Applicants must be university educated, either as a graduate or still studying. Grade B or higher in GCSE English is also imperative and at least one A Level in a humanities subject.
Experience of content creation / blogging would be ideal but not essential.
To apply, please provide either 2 examples of previous content / blog posts or alternatively, please write a 500 word post on any health related subject of your choice.
