DescriptionCross Campus, Southern California’s leading network of collaborative, on-demand workspaces and business event venues, is seeking a college-level Social Media Associate to join our marketing team.
This is a part-time position, requiring around 8-10 hours per week — including at least one 2-3 hour session per week at our Santa Monica campus.
The rest of the hours can be worked remotely.
We at Cross Campus are home to hundreds of entrepreneurs and startups, a gathering space for key members of the entrepreneurial stack, and an event space that has hosted thousands at hackathons, pitch events, talks and workshops.
We’re looking for a highly creative person who has a deep interest in new media, social marketing and social networking. Like an acrobat, you balance sharing and curating information online as it relates to your personal, academic and professional life.
Key Role Responsibilities
— Curating content to post on social media platforms
— Engaging in two-way communication on social media platforms
— Analyzing and drawing insights from social media metrics
— Creating content for our blog
— 1-2 years of professional / volunteer social media experience
— High attention to detail
— Proficiency using social media management tools like SproutSocial and Hootsuite
— Proficiency with Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Calendar, Gmail), Microsoft Office suite and other major cloud-based applications
— Knowledge of and interest in startup/tech industry and entrepreneurship
— Desire to learn and grow in social media marketing
— Experience analyzing social media metrics
— Experience in writing
— Experience executing a social media marketing campaign a plus
— Knowledge of Photoshop/InDesign a plus
