DescriptionInspire Me 2 Change (IM2C) is a mentor, coaching and consulting business. IM2C is a company that focuses on inspiring positive change in at risk communities through education and advocacy. Though IM2C is a for profit, you would also be doing work for our non-profit organization, Life Outside the Streets (L.O.T.S). We are looking for a social media blogger, someone who is able to create and manage engaging articles that promote IM2C's goals and missions. This position requires someone who is able to attend functions and report via blog to the public/followers. The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining communication with other relevant departments and relaying accurate information about the organizations' growth, performance, etc.. Intern should be sure to promote the organization's mission/objective in each article posting. We are based in Philadelphia but there may be opportunities to travel with the program. The incumbent would need to be local enough to get to events located in Philadelphia in order to conduct proper research for blogging . We desire someone who can take initiative with minimal supervision, able to communicate effectively and efficiently (written and verbal), has a flexible schedule and aware of prioritizing.
This position will require the intern to posts about IM2C on a weekly or bi-weekly basis. Prior to posting, information included should be verified with appropriate departments for accuracy; articles can be posted according to interns available schedule as long as it is on a weekly/bi-weekly basis. You will successfully be able to use this position as an employment/experience reference, obtain letters of recommendation and building a portfolio.
Responsibilities- The IM2C blogger will have to check-in with different departments to ensure any new information/events is included/updated in article
- Will be responsible for tracking follower statistics
- Needs to establish & maintain regular posting schedule
Requirements- Must have computer and required software for blogging
- Must have superior editing/proofreading skills
- Must have strong following for maximum exposure and outreach
- Must provide links to previously established blogs, etc
- Must report blogging status regularly for team meetings
