Description

WOD Talk Magazine is a CrossFit Lifestyle magazine that is published bi-monthly and distributed in a digital and print format. Founded in 2011, WOD Talk focuses on the CrossFit community with articles from experts in the fields of training, nutrition, and fitness. In addition to topic related articles WOD Talk features interviews with athletes, product reviews and box profiles. WOD Talk currently has a distribution of approximately 22,000.

WOD Talk has a robust social media presence with an active presence on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and our website www.wodtalk.com.


The position:
We are looking for interns that will work closely with us to further our website and social media channels. Position duties include, finding and posting news articles on our website, updating our social media feeds with news and buzzworthy activities. As well as working closely with our team to develop new campaigns to increase traffic and awareness across all of our brands.

Job Summary
The Social Media Intern is responsible for working directly with the Social Media Director to increase our social media followers and ensuring our social media presences and website are regularly updated with new and original content.

Roles and Responsibilities:
• Portray a positive representation of WOD Talk Magazine to all customers of the magazine, including but not limited to potential and current advertisers and sponsors, partners and subscribers
• Update WOD Talk’s Facebook page, twitter feed and instagram account under the direction of the Social Media Director
• Research potential content for the WOD Talk website via industry press releases and the associated press
• Develop media plans in conjunction with the Social Media Director to hold the regular attention of customers via social media channels
• Regular communication (based on predetermined schedule) with superior
• Other duties as assigned

Requirements

The ideal candidate will be an energetic, independent thinker with an enthusiasm for fitness and helping people achieve their lifestyle goals.

• Candidate will provide their own computer and have access to the internet
• Candidate must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
