DescriptionLOGAN Hope is a Christ-centered K-8 school that provides rigorous, holistic education for under-resourced students in the Logan neighborhood of Philadelphia. We seek to transform our community by equipping our students for academic success through character and leadership development.
Currently, Cambodians make up the poorest demographic in Philadelphia, have a 70% high school dropout rate, and the lowest college attendance rate of any ethnic group in America. As a response to these alarming statistics, the three primary services LOGAN Hope offers are an alternative street school for grades K-8, an after-school program, and a summer day camp.
We are currently searching for a social media intern to help manage our social media sites and our main website. This is opportunity will allow the intern to manage and maintain our sites using HootSuite, ensuring that the content that is posted fits our school and is appropriate for our mission.
While this position says "full-time" there are part-time internships available.
ResponsibilitiesThis intern can expect to complete any of the following tasks:
- Help maintain website
- Assist in the management of LOGAN Hope social media sites
- Draft posts to be scheduled in HootSuite, a social media management site.
RequirementsIn order to be considered for this position, the applicant must have a passion for social media and must enjoy working in a team.
Experience working with students is not required, but is preferred.
Additionally, being a practicing Christian is not required, but is preferred.
